MoveKin

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 July 2026

MoveKin (“we”, “us”) helps adult children support the strength and health of their aging parents. This policy explains what personal data we collect through movekin.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain language on purpose.

What we collect

Contact details you give us: your email address and, if you choose to share it, your phone number. We use these to reach out about MoveKin: your assessment results, the waitlist, and onboarding. Nothing else.

Assessment answers:the responses you give in the body-age assessment, including your parent’s first name, age, sex, and your answers about their mobility and fitness. These are wellness estimates you provide about another person; please only share what you are comfortable sharing.

Usage data: how the site is used (pages viewed, steps of the assessment completed), collected through analytics tools, plus campaign parameters (UTM tags) when you arrive from a link or an ad.

How we use it

To show you your parent’s assessment results; to contact you about the waitlist and, if you join, about the coaching program; to understand where the site works and where it loses people, so we can improve it; and to measure whether our ads are worth running. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers below.

Who processes it for us

We use a small set of service providers to run MoveKin: Supabase (database hosting for leads and assessment results), our web hosting provider, PostHog (product analytics), and Meta (ad measurement, only when you arrive via our ads). Each processes data only on our instructions.

How long we keep it

We keep your contact details and assessment results while we are in touch about MoveKin. If you ask us to delete them, we will, completely and within 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Depending on where you live, including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the UAE’s Personal Data Protection Law, you may have additional statutory rights, and we honour requests in that spirit regardless of jurisdiction. Write to hello@movekin.com and we’ll act on it promptly.

Not medical data, not medical advice

The body-age assessment is an educational wellness estimate, not a medical assessment, diagnosis, or health record. If your parent has a serious health condition, check with their doctor before starting anything new.

The MoveKin mobile app

Everything above is about movekin.com. This section covers the MoveKin mobile app — the program itself, where you and your parents train, get reminders, and track progress. The app collects more than the website does, so we spell it out here.

What the app collects

Who you are: name, age, sex, height, and weight, for you and for each parent on your family account. We need these to build a program that fits the person doing it.

Health information: the safety screening answers we ask before anyone starts (the PAR-Q questions, including whether someone has a heart condition or takes medication that affects exercise), mobility level, any physical concerns you tell us about, and the results of the body-age and mobility assessments. This is sensitive information. We collect it for one reason only: to keep your parents safe and to coach them well.

Phone number and WhatsApp messages:class reminders and check-ins go out over WhatsApp, so we store the phone numbers we message and the reminder and check-in messages we exchange with you there. These messages travel through WhatsApp’s Business API, which is run by Meta. Meta handles the delivery, the way your phone carrier handles a text.

Push notification tokens: a technical token your phone gives us so we can send app notifications. It identifies your device to the notification service, not you as a person.

Usage data: which screens are used and which sessions get completed, so we can see where the app helps and where it gets in the way.

Your family can see each other’s data

This one matters, so we’ll say it plainly: MoveKin is a family product.A child account and its linked parent accounts share one family space, and the child can see their parent’s health answers, assessment results, and activity in the app. That is not a leak. It is the whole point of MoveKin: adult children looking after their parents’ strength, together. If a parent is not comfortable with their child seeing this information, MoveKin is not the right fit, and they should not join the family account.

How parents join

Parents don’t sign up the way you did. Their child sends them an invite link, they tap it, and they’re in. No password to invent, no email to type. Behind the scenes, the app creates an internal account for them, tied to the family. The child account manages that family account, including deleting it.

Where the data lives

App data is stored in Supabase, a managed Postgres database service, and is encrypted in transit. Access is restricted to what the app itself needs to work.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account from inside the app (Account tab → Delete account), or, if you can’t get into the app, from our account deletion page. Deletion is immediate and permanent, and it covers the whole family: the child account, every linked parent, all health answers and assessment results, and the WhatsApp reminder contacts and message history. It cannot be undone.

What the app does not do

No ads. No selling of your data, ever. No third-party tracking in the app. The only outside services that touch app data are the ones that make it run: Supabase (storage), Meta’s WhatsApp Business API (message delivery), and the push notification services built into your phone’s operating system.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you by email.
